Study resources

Curated programmes and institutions to deepen your understanding of non-interest banking.

Beyond our free lessons, the following programmes and institutions offer accredited study in non-interest banking and finance. For research and professional certification in Ghana's NIB space, we also list key resources.

International Open University (IOU)

The International Open University (IOU), launched in 2007 (formerly Islamic Online University), has been teaching non-interest banking and finance for over 15 years. It serves 450,000+ students from 200+ countries, entirely online and self-paced.

IOU's economics and finance department offers: Higher Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), and Master of Science (MSc) in non-interest banking and finance — from foundational certificates through to postgraduate level.

IOU keeps study accessible: no traditional tuition; students pay a one-time US$10 application fee and affordable semester fees on a sliding scale by country (e.g. from around US$95–139 per semester for part-time undergraduate study in low-income countries). Full-time and part-time options available.

Study anytime, anywhere. Materials are available online or offline; choose part-time (1–3 courses per semester) or full-time (4–6 courses). Programmes are accredited (e.g. by The Gambia's NAQAA) and designed for working professionals and students worldwide.
