GCB Bank has publicly backed BoG’s NIFAC and reported steps toward a non-interest banking window. Public intent is not a Bank of Ghana NIB licence; Ethika’s directory stays empty until licences are gazetted.
On 18 August 2026 the Bank of Ghana inaugurated NIFAC at Bank Square — a five-member advisory council for non-interest banking and finance. Guidelines date from January 2026; no NIB licence has been gazetted yet.
