Ethika at the 2025 IFIC — IFRIG Conference

The 2025 Islamic Finance International Conference (IFIC) was held under the auspices of the Office of the National Chief Imam (ONCI) in collaboration with the Islamic Finance Research Institute of Ghana (IFRIG) on 27 September 2025. The theme was Non-interest finance as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development.

Ethika Finance was present at the conference, which featured panel discussions and presentations on global non-interest financial services trends — including double-digit growth in assets and the fact that Africa and Central Asia have posted among the highest growth rates globally, opening new frontiers for non-interest finance.

Speakers and participants included professionals from Nigeria, a Takaful (non-interest insurance) expert from Kenya, and dignitaries from the Christian Council, alongside regulators, scholars, and practitioners. The mix underscored the cross-sector and interfaith interest in non-interest finance as a tool for inclusive and sustainable development.

Ethika’s participation aligns with our mission to close the gap in information and awareness on Non-Interest Banking in Ghana and West Africa. We continue to engage with events such as IFIC to stay connected to the latest policy, practice, and research in the sector.
